It’s Christmas in July…kinda.
A few weeks back my friend Nancy Scott reached out and asked if I would be interested in joining her Christmas Collection Blog Hop to celebrate her book, which is available on Amazon here!
I wasn’t sure what I was going to make. I’ve always been a fan of Nancy’s and she was the designer who really got me interested in quilting! I’ve taken just about every Annie’s Quilting Class that Nancy has and even joined a sew-a-long or two of hers.
I’m a fan. HA!
The Christmas Collection is full of great patterns, you can head to Nancy’s blog here to see all the posts from the blog hop!

I immediately fell in love with the Mistletoe Magic Pillow. It was quick, easy, and fun to piece together. It called for Layer Cakes (let’s be honest…I’ve got a few of those lying around…) and I knew that it would be easy to make modern and everyday!

Right away I gathered all my materials and went about cutting everything out. I knew right away I would go with a familiar color palette for me, black and white with pops of yellow. With all that, I knew I would quilt it using a ‘shattered lines’ style of quilting in a contrasting thread.
Can I just tell you how much I love this pillow?
It was easy to piece, yes. More than that, it was packed full of wonderful skills that I loved to flex. Piecing was a breeze with Nancy’s clear instructions and photos.

Did I mention this quilt features a FLANGE! OMGoodness. So, I learned how to make a flange in Middle School from my Home Economics teacher, and honestly, I’m not sure if it’s the correct way to complete it but when I saw it in the pattern, I couldn’t wait to flex those skills!
This was such a fun pillow and I’m so happy with how this turned out. I mean…obviously…look at these AMAZING photos!

Alright, so, pick up the book here, visit Nancy’s website here, take a look at her Annie’s classes here, and follow her on Facebook Here and Instagram Here!
Talk to y’all soon!
