“I’ve been painting, drawing, coloring, and designing my entire life…usually just observing and depicting the things I see around me that I find interesting or beautiful. When I moved to Raleigh, NC, I was introduced to a wide array of mediums, primarily textiles. I currently design and teach about textiles while focusing on my other loves, cooking and illustration. The beauty around amazes me and that beauty interjects itself into every facet of my art. Inspired by a lifelong interest in botany, I have recently been concentrating on the field of botanical illustration. I began by painting my own houseplants and I am always scouring this gorgeous city for further inspiration.”
Rohn is will begin studying Botanical Illustration and Native Plant Studies at the North Carolina Botanical Gardens in the fall.
