Alpine Mint Slipper Socks | Free Crochet Sock Pattern

Crochet up a pair of these gorgeous beginner Alpine Mint Slipper Socks perfect for last minute gifts for the men in your life!

Men are the worst…to shop for.

Okay. We might not be THE worst but we are right up on that list. This year, I really set out to crochet up quick to stitch gifts perfect for the men in your life. We had the Black Balsam Beanie, Mountain Mitts, and now…the Alpine Mint Slipper Socks!

It just happened that my friend, Debbie Macomber, had her team reach out to me to design a new pattern inspired by her new book, A Mrs. Miracle Christmas for a special Christmas Bonus Issue of her Welcome Home Magazine!

You all know I love Debbie’s Books, and read them veraciously, when I got my hands on an early proof of A Mrs. Miracle Christmas, I read it in one sitting. While reading I thought, I wonder what Mrs. Miracle would knit (or crochet) and immediatly thought…SOCKS!

Socks are the perfect go-to project for anyone on the go…and even better for last minute gifting. I mean, Mrs. Miracle is always on the go and she definitely needs the kind of project that she can shove in her handbag for those spare moments every now and then…right?

Alright! So, if you want to download this pattern just head to this link here. You’ll have to fill out a short survey for the magazine and then you’ll get to download the issue! That’s it! How cool is that!?

The Alpine Mint Slipper Socks are quick to stitch and perfect for last minute gifting. The socks use less than two skeins of Color A (the green) and just a few yards of Color B (the cream). Now, the yarn used in the pattern is Lion Brand Yarn Vanna’s Choice which is a ‘bouncy’ acrylic.

What is a bouncy acrylic?

I’m glad you asked. It’s your Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn, Red Heart Super Saver, and Vanna’s Choice. It is not your Caron’s Simple Soft, Lion Brand Basic Stitch, or Lion Brand Heartland. These yarns are ‘shiny acrylics’ and just don’t have the stretch needed to make these slippers fit the way you’ll want.

I hope y’all love these socks as much as I do and I can’t wait to see you stitching your socks! YAY!

Alright, talk soon friends!
